The Town Council also reviewed and updated the Vacation Rental Ordinance.
One change was to define a bedroom as it pertains to occupancy. The maximum number of overnight guests is 8. There will be further discussion about the number of guests relating to two guests per bedroom with a possible two additional to be no more than 12. The Council also agreed STVRs could be in commercial and industrial areas, and the current cap of 10% will stand as it is. Permits can be transferrable upon the sale of a house. The Council and Staff will establish regulations for signage, outdoor lighting, and a time cap on permit applications.
