Frances Rothwell
Frances Merida Rothwell, 90, of Sale Creek, passed away at her home Saturday, October 15, 2022.
She was born in Sale Creek on July 20, 1932, the daughter of the late Paul and Delanie (Aslinger) Elsea. She was also preceded in death by her husband Clayton Rothwell.
Frances lived all of her life in Sale Creek where she graduated from Sale Creek High School and retired from Dixie Yarns. She was a very active member of the Mount Vernon Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School.
She is survived by her son Roger (Donna) Rothwell of Sale Creek, her grandson, Michael (Amanda) Hodges, and great-granddaughter, Zoey Hodges of Gulf Shores, Al. Frances is also survived by her beloved sister, Louella Hixson of Sale Creek.
Funeral services for Frances will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at noon in the funeral home chapel with Pastor David Cunningham and Pastor Jimmie Jewell officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Mount Vernon Church Cemetery.
