Janice Edwards
Janice Brown Edwards, 83, of Ringgold, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 11, 2022.
She was born on Nov. 16, 1938, in Dalton, Georgia, to the late George Rembert and Ruby Mae Brown. She has lived in Ringgold for the past 55 years and was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Mrs. Edwards retired from the Catoosa County School System after many years as a teacher and guidance counselor.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Melvin R. Edwards.
Survivors include her daughters, Janice Evonne Hackett (Chuck), and Terri Edwards Abel (Tim); sons, Melvin Roy Edwards (Joan) and Rembert Alan Edwards (Marlo); sisters, Janette Cordle, Frieda Matthews and Elaine Holt; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday in the funeral home chapel with Chaplain Bobby Fleck officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
