Angela Hunt Johnson, 62, formerly of Chattanooga and currently residing in Whitwell, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022, in a Chattanooga hospital.
She was a member of Stoney Point Church. Angela loved her husband, kids, family, cooking and playing softball. She always had a smile on her face.
Angela was preceded in death by her father, Armer Hunt, Sr.; daughter, Keisha Hunt; sister, Arlene Ammons; and grandparents, Willie and Regust Yelder and Dessie Mae Parker.
Survivors include her husband, Vincent Johnson; sons, Timothy Rivers and Corey Rivers, both of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Jazlyen Rivers, Josh Dill, Jordan Dill, Caybree Uffer, and Kelby Uffer; mother, Willie Mae Tisdale of Birmingham, AL; brothers, Don (Alma) Hunt, Jr., Victor Hunt, and Patrick Hunt, all of Chattanooga; brothers-in-law, Reginald Johnson, Richard Johnson, and Jerome (Frances) Favors; sisters, Elaine Smith and Denise (Tyrone) Wilkerson, both of Chattanooga; sisters-in-law, Gwen Jackson and Brenda Smith; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Angela will lie in state on Thursday, Dec. 29, from 12:30-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Friday, Dec. 30, at 10 a.m. in the chapel with Pastor James Westmoreland as the eulogist. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
