Peggy Anne Morrell, 89, of Fort Oglethorpe, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 13, 2023.

She was a resident of North Georgia for over 45 years, and a 1952 graduate of City High School in Chattanooga. Peggy was a member of Westside Baptist Church. She loved music and enjoyed singing. She also enjoyed watching and feeding birds, and going to the beach. Peggy had a great love for her family, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a special place in her heart.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas V. Morrell Sr., parents, Carl Edward Lawrence and Sarah Fuller Lawrence Rieger, son, Thomas V. Morrell Jr., and niece Cheri Glass.

Survivors include sons, Michael D. Kilgore (Keren) and Allen J. Morrell (Angela), daughters, Michele Humphrey (Keith) and Becky Wagner (Bob); daughter-in-law, Robin Morrell, sister, Carole Reed, grandchildren, Tommy (Emily) Morrell, Jacob (Linda) Morrell, Hannah (Dexter) Davis, Derek (Amber) Kilgore, Abigail (Jeremy) Gerber, Eddie (Brandi) Lovin, Emily (Grant) Palmer, April (Joe) Dills, Cheyenne Morrell, Elijah Morrell, Jessica (Mattison) Johnson, and Meagan (Josh) Sexton, great-grandchildren, Canaan, Mercy, Alyssa, Addison, Ethan, Oliver, Miley, Kian, Molly, Sydney, and Wyatt; niece, Cindy (Tommy) Roane; nephews, Randy (Kendra) Reed and Kenny (Renee) Morrell, and many great-nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19, at Heritage Funeral Home and Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at Westside Baptist Church with Bro. Gary Moore officiating. Interment will take place in Forest Hills Cemetery.
