
James Walter Keith
James Walter Keith, 77, of Chattanooga, passed away on March 30, 2023.
He was a graduate of City High School. Jim was a member of Local 43, Plumbers and Steamfitters Union of Chattanooga.
He had a strong Christian faith, and was a member of North Red Bank Baptist Church.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Walter John Franklin and Ethel Mae Hobbs Keith; his first wife, whom he was married for 50 years, Susan M. Keith; daughter, Jamie Gail Keith; and brother, Grady L. E. Keith.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Irwin-Keith; his three sons, James W. (Jennifer) Keith II, Christopher M. Keith, and John F. (Misty) Keith; two daughters, Madison Keith, and Harlee Keith; his sister, Loretta (John) Duncan; a special nephew, Timothy Keith; eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and additional family members, Kendra Anne Irwin, Kenneth Wade (Mary) Irwin II, three grandchildren, and a number of great-grandchildren. Jim is also survived by a lifelong friend, Jerry Priddy.
Funeral services will be conducted from the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 4, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Roger Redmond officiating. Entombment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, April 3, at North Chapel.
