Zyon Johnson
Zyon Deondrick Johnson, 18, passed away on February 13, 2023, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
He was a graduate of Brainerd High School.
Zyon was a smart, respectful, funny, caring young man. He loved rapping and writing his own lyrics. His hope and dream was to make it out of this city and provide for his family. Zyon loved playing basketball. His favorite food was ribs. Zyon was truly loved by his family and friends. He always made sure we knew he loved us with his hugs and kisses before leaving the house. Zyon had a beautiful smile that could light up the world. He was full of laughter and joy. We will always cherish every perfect moment of his life.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, Adrian Patton, Sr.
He leaves to cherish precious memories, his mother, Shanerra Johnson; father, LaFrederick Sails; sister, Samorra Johnson; two brothers, Anquan Sails and Markell Sails; grandfather, Ronald Strickland; grandmothers, Sharon Strickland and Donna Sails; great grandmothers, Jeanette Sparks and Flora Strickland; aunt, Zantreus Johnson; uncles, Jarvis Strickland and Jamal Strickland, Fred Sails, Jr.; one nephew, Kason Johnson; two favorite cousins Afrika Jackson and Zakiya Jackson; special friends, Troy Howard, LaTavius Moore, and Kenya Banks; a host other cousins, relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be held from 2-6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 27, at the funeral home.
A 12 p.m. funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 28, in the chapel of John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 423 622-9995.
