Linda Evitt
Linda Tucker Evitt, 77, of LaFayette, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023.
She was a member of the LaFayette First Baptist Church. Linda was a graduate of Gordon Lee High School. She attended Edmondson School of Business in Chattanooga and then worked for many years in banking. Linda retired from Mount Vernon Mills with 34 years of service where she worked in inventory control.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Don Tucker; stepson, Bill Evitt; and stepdaughter, Kay Wallin.
She is survived by her husband, Ross Evitt; grandchildren, Jessica (Joel) Bowman, Tori (Andy) Baker, Maegan (David) Dockery, and Vann Evitt; several great grandchildren; and nephew, Tony Tucker.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 8, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Dr. Derrick Fielder and Pastor Mike Wallin officiating.
Interment will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 6-8 p.m.
