The Chattanooga Mocs beach volleyball team picked up a pair of victories over Berry College (Ga.) and Erskine (Ala.) during its three-match slate on Tuesday on the campus of Mercer University in Macon, Ga.
Following the two wins, Chattanooga improves its overall record to 12-8 this season. The Mocs dropped an early contest to the hosts Mercer by a 3-2 tally for its lone loss of the day.
The duo of Maddi Morris and Julia Davis went a perfect 3-0 on the day at the No. 3 slot in all three matches while the tandem of Joy Courtright and Maddie Lecik went 2-0 after teaming up for the last two matches at the No.
2 position. The newly-minted No. 1 pair of Neva Clark and McKenna Faychak earned wins in the final two matches which included a 21-16, 22-20 victory to clinch the match against Erskine.
Chattanooga returns to action on Saturday with a pair of non-conference matchups in Florence, Ala. The Mocs will take on New Orleans and North Alabama at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. ET, respectively.
