Collegedale's Tea With Bea Brings The Works Of Beatrix Potter To … – The Chattanoogan

Children ages four-10 are invited to see the work and art of the legendary Beatrix Potter come to life at Tea with Bea. on Saturday, March 25. Children are encouraged to dress in their Afternoon Tea clothes as they enjoy a special kid-favorite tea from Mountain Oaks Manor while listening to stories of Peter Rabbit.

Crafts and photo ops with live bunnies will be available for all guests. “Start working on your British accents to impress our very own Beatrix Potter,” organizers said.

“One of my favorite quotes from Beatrix Potter is, ’I have just made stories to please myself, because I never grew up.’ I love encouraging people to never grow up, keep having fun and finding joy in the little things,” said Christina Clark, Collegedale Parks and Recreation supervisor.

Pre-registration is required to attend. To register for Tea with Bea, go to collegedaleparksandrec.com.  There is a $10 admission per child with a limit of two accompanying adults.  Participants will need to arrive for check-in starting at 1:45 p.m. at Chestnut Hall at the Collegedale Commons.  The Tea with Bea will run from 2-3:30 p.m.

“I am excited to bring the text of much beloved books to life,” said Ms. Clark. “Our library will be on hand to share information on books by Potter that are available for check out by members.”
