Johnny DeWayne Wright
Johnny DeWayne Wright, 64, of Hixson, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023.
DeWayne was born in Chattanooga to the late Connie and Johnny V. Wright, who founded the Forgotten Child Fund in Chattanooga. DeWayne was a graduate of Tennessee Temple High School and attended UTC. He was a former General Manager with Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel, co-owned and operated Hamilton Place Car Wash, part owner in a Commercial Tile Company and worked for a short time with David Linskey Bicycle. DeWayne attended Christ United Methodist Church.
DeWayne is survived by his two sons, Zan Wright and John Wright; sister, Vickey (Jim) Cooke; two nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Services for DeWayne will follow at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, at the North Chapel with Dr. Tony Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
