Wilma Lorraine McDowell Hicks
Wilma Lorraine McDowell Hicks, 87, of Ooltewah, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023.
A lifelong resident of Hamilton County, Mrs. Hicks was a member of Ridgedale Baptist Church.
The daughter of the late Thomas and Ollie Mae McDowell, she was also preceded in death by her siblings, Ruby Helton, Vernie Cecil McDowell., Marvin McDowell, Bernadina (Bunt) Scruggs, and Dorothy Waters.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Billy E. Hicks; two daughters, Lisa Parker, Auburn, GA, and Tonja (Bill) Lowery, Harrison; four grandchildren, Brittany Parker, Mitch Parker, Jade (Lynwood) Scott, and Saige Lowery; two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Anniston Clark; god-daughter, Stephanie Sanders Trail; many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, June 22, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Bill Owens officiating.
The family would like to send many thanks to the staff at Health Center at Standifer Place for their love and care over the past two years.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road.
