Mary Southerland
Mary Frances Powell Southerland, 76, of LaFayette, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, W.C. Powell; sisters, Ella Howard, Lillie Simmons, Lizzie May Helms, Christine Owensby, and Roberta Greene; brothers, Neal Hill and Nathan and Dewey Owensby.
Frances retired with Roper Corp. after 36 years of service and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Southerland; daughter, Teresa (Eddie) Suddeth; son, Lamar Harris; grandchildren, Nicole (Chris) Pierce and Patricia (Kenny) Hensley; great grandchildren, Caden, Kaylei, Kaycei, and Aleviea; sister, Betty Cooper; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 21, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastor David Thompson officiating.
Interment will be at Crest-Lawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers are Boyd and Brian Greene, Lee Pullam, Kenny Hensley, Chris Pierce, and Al Nadeau.
Honorary pallbearer is Brian Osborn.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
