Jean Saunders
Jean Redmon Saunders passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023, surrounded by her children.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Fred “Cedric”, her parents, Lillian and Randle Redmon and brother, Tom Redmon.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Susi Westbrook, Randy Saunders (Marolyn), and Jennifer Jones (Mark); six grandchildren, Wes Westbrook (Debbie), Will Westbrook; Wynn Westbrook (Olivia), Brad Saunders (Lindsay), Taylor Jones, and First Lieutenant Alex Jones; and great-grandchildren, Ava Westbrook, Kayden, Riley and Skylar Westbrook, Carter Westbrook, and baby boy Westbrook due September.
Jean was a member of Concord Baptist Church for many years and was a volunteer at Memorial Hospital for several years. Jean was an avid golfer, having been a member of the Chattanooga Women’s Golf Association for nearly 40 years.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 25, at 3 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home.
Interment will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 12 p.m. until the service hour at Heritage Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family would respectfully requests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 2030 Hamilton Place Blvd Suite 220, Chattanooga, TN 37421 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
