Carolyn Hammonds
Carolyn Louise Hammonds, 81, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at her residence.
She was a 1959 graduate of Howard High School. Carolyn attended Faith United Baptist Church. She retired from Chattanooga Golf and Country Club.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, James and Pearl Jackson; and brother, Aubrey Hammonds.
Survivors include her sons, Vinson Hammonds and Harold Vernon Williams; daughter, Vanessa (Kelly) Gates; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Carolyn will lie in state on Thursday, May 11, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Graveside services will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East with Elder Andrew Ragland giving words comfort.
