Charles Luther Wyatt
Charles was a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church. Charles graduated from Howard High School in 1969. He went on to attend Welding School and received his certification as a welder. He was employed with the Chattanooga Housing Authority for 20 years and went on to work for the City of Chattanooga for 10 years.
Charles retired from the city and began to enjoy retirement life with his family by traveling and attending social events. He loved spending time with his wife and son, Jerome.
Charles was predeceased by his parents; daughter, Jamie Carter; brother, Herbert Wyatt; sister, Gloria Hood; niece, Lori Hood Hardaway; dear cousin (brother), Michael A. Wyatt, Sr.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Tina; a dedicated son, Jerome Charles Wyatt; and children by marriage, Quincy Carter and Quanita McMath. He is also survived by his siblings: Evelyn Wyatt Elder, Curtis Wyatt, Gwendolyn Wyatt, Jackson, Gale Wyatt Williams (Melvin), Adolph Wyatt (Trina), Reginald Wyatt (Afreda); brothers-in-law, Thomas Andrews, Reginald Carter, Edward Davis, and Robert; sisters-in-law, Deborah Thomas, Regina Dendy, and Yolanda Flanagan; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Public viewing will be held from 2-6 p.m. on Monday, June 26, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home.
A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27, at Second Missionary Baptist Church, 2304 East 3rd Street, 37404. Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
