The Honoring the Sacrifice Foundation invites the public to join them for the 9th annual American Heroes Dinner to be held Friday, July 21 at 7 p.m. at the Chattanooga Convention Center.
“Enjoy this patriotic evening while supporting severely wounded veterans and their families. You can make a difference through your participation in this signature event,” organizers said. “Ways we’ve made a difference include:
– Provided a vacation nurse for EODC Kenton Stacy;
– Farm equipment for Israel Del Toro, Jr.;
– Lawn care services for a single-leg amputee; and
– Snow removal equipment for a wounded Marine.
“Our keynote speaker, General John F.
Kelly, is a 45-year marine who headed the U.S. Southern Command. After retiring as a four-star general, he subsequently served the nation as secretary of Homeland Security, then White House chief of staff.
General Kelly’s military experience and his personal story as a Gold Star Family provide a unique perspective on why remembering and honoring those who serve in the military and organizations like Honoring the Sacrifice Foundation are important.
“Proceeds from this inspirational event support the mission of the Honoring the Sacrifice Foundation. The Honoring the Sacrifice team is committed to meeting the unique needs of catastrophically wounded veterans and their families. Please consider joining us.”
