Appalachia Sessions Live Taping Presents Chris Blue & Crockett, presented by the East Tennessee Historical Society and created by Breezy Wynn, with musical guests Noah Guthrie & The Young Fables, on Monday at 5 p.m. at the Bijou Theatre, 803 South Gay St. in Knoxville.
The live taping takes about two hours and will be cut down to a one-hour TV show broadcast across the Appalachian region.
“Come cheer, clap, stomp your feet and be a part of the show. You might even catch a t-shirt,” officials said. “Appalachia Sessions is a social impact and purpose-driven initiative to bring the history of Appalachian music, culture and education to students who are directly impacted by its history. At each live taping, we will host students from the inner cities and rural Appalachia to tour the Museum of East Tennessee History and attend each concert. One hundred percent of the net proceeds from the concert series will benefit the Appalachia Sessions Fund to support student literacy and education in Appalachia.”
