Baylor’s Evie Culbreath defended her state championship title in the DII-AA State pentathlon today at Brentwood Academy. Wire to wire, Culbreath was dominant and broke her own school record by 43 points with a score of 3,589. Culbreath won the hurdles & long jump, was 2nd in the shot put, third in the high jump, and fourth in the 800m.
GPS’s Allie Walley was ninth, and CCS’s Copeland Caldwell was 21st. Baylor’s Maelynn Adams- Cook & Baker Young earned 13th & 14th finishes respectively in a field of 27 athletes.
