Pierce Grantham and his art, "Magnolia"

Pierce Grantham and his art, “Magnolia”

Art created by Baylor junior and AP art student Pierce Grantham has been selected by judges for the Congressional Art Competition in TN District 3.

Titled “Magnolia,” his artwork will hang in The Cannon Tunnel, the walkway inside the U.S. Capitol building through which members of Congress, congressional staff, lobbyists, and the general public enter the building.

Every year, members of the House of Representatives sponsor “An Artistic Discovery,” an art competition open to all high-school students in their respective legislative districts, and the winning entries are displayed in the Cannon Tunnel.
