Bryan County Election: ESPLOST passes by wide margin – Savannah Morning News

Students arrive Tuesday morning for the first day of school at McAllister Elementary School in Richmond Hill.

Bryan County voters on Tuesday renewed the education penny sales tax, EPLOST, with 80% voting in favor of the 1% tax.

ESPLOST has been approved every time its been on the ballot in Bryan County going back to 1997.

Of the 1,912 to cast ballots in Bryan County, 1,531 voted in favor of the referendum. Turnout included 1,531 in-person voters who cast ballots on Election Day.
