The community of East Chattanooga is gearing up for a block party this year, called The Gathering, sponsored by RISE Chattanooga in collaboration with SoundCorps and Chattanooga in Action for Love, Equality and Benevolence. This event aims to celebrate the community’s resilience, creativity and spirit.
It will be held Saturday from 12-6 p.m. at 2901 Taylor St.
Live music performances will be provided by SoundCorps. There will be kid-friendly activites and food and refreshments.
CALEB will provide booths about community initiatives and local developments.
Attendees are encouraged to follow local health and safety guidelines.
Shane Morrow, executive director from RISE Chattanooga, said, “This year’s Gathering isn’t just a celebration—it’s a testament to the neighborhood’s resilience and unity. In collaboration with our community partners, SoundCorps and CALEB, we’re ensuring this community event offers a day of fun, laughter, and connection for all our residents.”
Admission to The Gathering is free. Attendees are encouraged to support local vendors and engage in raffle opportunities.
