Opal Keith
Opal Jane Keith, 90, of LaFayette, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023.
Opal worked for 20 years at Barwick Mills and later was a bookkeeper for Keith’s Grocery and OK Auto which her and her husband owned and operated.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Keith; son, Rickey Keith; granddaughter, Demera Robinson; grandson, Hunter Keith; and sisters, Thelma Jean Gilreath and Sarah Ann Rhodes.
She is survived by her son, Danny (Kathy) Keith; grandchildren, Laura Smalley, Jonathan Smalley, Jacob (Tameka) Keith, and Katie Keith; great grandchildren, Cash Robinson, Jackson Smalley, Slayde Robinson, Alexis Smalley, and Nevaeh Keith; several nieces and nephews; and bonus son and daughter-in-law, Joe (Carol) Waters.
A graveside service will be held 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8, at Chattooga Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Marty McRae officiating.
Pallbearers are Danny Keith, Jonathan Smalley, Jackson Smalley, Cash Robinson, Slayde Robinson, Jody Gilreath, Anthony Buffington, and Jacob Keith.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12-2 p.m.
Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
