Josephine Ann Kell
Josephine Ann Kell, 83, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022.
Ms. Kell was born in Chattanooga, on Jan. 9, 1939, the daughter of the late Ira Wooden and Leomia Cooke Wooden. She was a graduate of Tyner High School in 1957 and graduated from UT Chattanooga in 1961. Ms. Kell retired as an English professor from Walter State Community College in Morristown, Tn., in 2006. She enjoyed her grandchildren, flower garden, and traveling to England.
In addition to her parents Ms. Kell was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Dan Trombley and a brother, Phil Wooden.
Survivors include a son, Jeffrey Kell and two grandchildren, Connor Kell and Aidan Kell.
Graveside and interment services will be held on Monday, Oct. 31, at 3 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in McDonald, Tn.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made to Children’s Literacy Foundation in Ms. Kell’s name.
