The Tennessee Lady Vols on Monday night dominated Toledo, which had won 23 straight, to head to Seattle for the Sweet 16. The final was 94-47, and the only question was whether Tennessee would make it to the century mark in front of the home fans in Knoxville.
They never trailed, and began to pull away from the Rockets early after leading 8-6. Toledo was held to just eight in the quarter – their lowest production of the season, and Tennessee led 19-8.
The onslaught continued in the second quarter as the Lady Vols scored 31- their highest total of the season. At halftime, it was 50-22.
Tennessee continued to pour it on in the second half.
For the game, they hit 11 three-pointers, including two in a row by post player Karoline Striplin.
Sara Puckett and Jillian Hollingshead had big games, scoring 13 each.
Rickea Jackson scored 12 and Jordan Horston 10.
