Linda Mae Middleton
Linda Mae Middleton, 76, of Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 19, 2023.
Linda was born in Jasper, Tn. on June 17, 1946.
Linda was a loving mother and devoted wife. She was a long time member of Parkway Baptist church. Linda loved her church family and enjoyed being part of the choir. She worked for Bi-Lo for many years before her retirement. Linda loved to talk to anyone she met and loved being around people, especially her family. Linda’s devotion to her family and chicken casserole will surely be missed by all who loved her.
Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Donnie A. Middleton and her parents, Leland Long and Marguerite Webb.
She is survived by her children, Tina (Terry) Baxter, John Mark (Ann) Middleton, Kimberly (Rick) Satterfield, Kristal (Dennis) Hasting; grandchildren, Tiffany Baxter, Tessa Williams, Rebakah Middleton, Clay Middleton, Cati Middleton, Maya Satterifeld, Macy Satterfield, Sophia Satterfield, Chloe Roberts, Bailey Jeffery; and great-grandchildren, Finnley and Coleson Roberts, Emerson Jent, Tucker, Daisy, Holden, and Adeline Williams, and Cooper and Karson Day. Linda’s fur baby Molly also survives to cherish her memory.
A funeral service for Linda will be conducted at Parkway Baptist Church on Tuesday, Jan. 24, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David Sampson officiating. Interment will follow the service at Lakewood Memory Gardens South.
The family will receive friends at Lane Funeral Home and Crematory South Crest Chapel on Monday, Jan. 23, from 4-8 p.m. and Linda will lie in state at the church on Tuesday, Jan. 24, from 10 a.m. until the service hour.
