Jada Nowell
Jada Annette Nowell, 23, of Chattanooga went to be with her heavenly Father on Friday, September 1, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born on June 22, 2000, to Arthur and Angela Nowell. After graduating from Tyner High School in 2018, Jada attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Since a young age, Jada was a health and fitness enthusiast. She enjoyed helping other women feel and look good so much that she became an entrepreneur, creating Waistedbyrjw. If you knew her, one of her favorite places was the gym. Realjwells was a familiar platform on YouTube that Jada used to express her knowledge of various topics from God, fashion, beauty, and wellness as she was a blogger and influencer. Jada was also an ambassador for Styles Statement by Michael Janell. Modeling and posing for the camera came naturally to her. Family and people were ranked high on Jada’s list of priorities. Jada often assisted her grandmother in cooking and feeding the community. This was something she looked forward to while creating dishes that would put a smile on the faces of others around her. She was recently employed by ThyssenKrupp.
Jada was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Willie Lawrence and John and Beulah Martin; grandparents, Emma Annette Martin, Perry Hicks, and Arthur Nowell, Sr.
Survivors include her parents, Arthur and Angela Nowell, Jr. of Chattanooga; great-grandmother, Amanda Lawrence; grandmother, Deborah (Corey) White of Chattanooga; siblings, Jaylan Nowell and A’Niyah Fields, both of Chattanooga; aunts, Leatri (Stanley) Cox, Tiffany (Greg) Douglas, and Jennifer Hicks, all of Chattanooga; uncle, Perry Hicks of Chattanooga; special friend, Wardell Henderson; a host of great-aunts and uncles; cousins; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, Sept. 9, at 11 a.m. at Olivet Baptist Church with Pastor Vincent Dixon as the eulogist. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
