Linda Ruth Reece, age 81, of Congress Street, Summerville, Georgia, passed away Friday afternoon, November 18, 2022, in a Rome hospital, following a sudden illness.
She was born on March 6, 1941 in Fort Payne, Al., to the late Wayne Howard and Verna Viola Fannin Blake. Linda was an exceptional business woman, having started a variety of successful businesses. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the late Robert Lee “Sonny” Reece on Dec. 2, 2021, sisters, Martha Cooper and Wanda Edwards, and an Infant brother.
Surviving are daughter, Marty and Jimmy Lowery; son, Robert B. and Susan Reece; grandchildren, Cory (Jessica) Reece and Mackenzie Reece; great-grandson, Easton Reece; great-granddaughter, Brylee Reece; sister, Janette Chadwick; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 1 p.m., with Pastor Gary Howell officiating, from United Christian Fellowship, on Highway #114 in Summerville, inurnment in Liberty Hill Cemetery, Adamsburg, Al., following the service.
Visitation will be from 12:30-1 p.m. Tuesday at the Church.
