Artelia H. Reynolds, 66 of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, gained her heavenly wings on Thursday, August 24, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Artelia, better known as “Mrs. Tia”, was an active member of Mount Bethlehem Baptist Church until her health wouldn’t allow her to attend in person. Mrs. Tia retired from South Pittsburg Elementary School and Dixie Freeze. Mrs. Tia had a passion for the youth, flowers, gospel music and old school R&B.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Annetta Jo Edwards, and father, Dr. Rev. Joseph Edwards, mother, Corein Edwards; father and mother-in-law, Charles, and Inez Reynolds; grandson, Corbin Hale and sister-in-law, Debra Jackson.

Artelia is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Gary Reynolds, two loving daughters; Annetta Jo Reynolds and Tiffany (Byron) Gaines, three loving sons; Michael Shawn Reynolds, Marcus Reynolds, and Donte’ Green, two loving sisters; Lanita (Rodney) Harris, and Nila (Chinwendu) Nwankpa and one loving brother, Demetrius (Cherle) Edwards, a loving sister-in-law, Linda (Tyrone) Kelly, two loving brothers-in-law, Allen Reynolds and Ronald Jackson, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends, and a special CNA Penny Hutchins who she loved to call “Kathy” and her name-sake Artelia Green.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 29, at 12 p.m. CDT in the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home with Rev. Lamar Jenkins officiating.

Artelia will be laid to rest at the Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 29, from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. (CDT) at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg, prior to the funeral service.

Flower Attendants will be Vanessa Kelly, Candace Jackson, Erica Honeycutt, Cherrell Obiekwe, Renea Coffey, and Artelia Green.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Gibbs, Sr., Terrance Davis, Tauren Jackson, Raquis Hale, Tyler Kelly and Craig Reynolds.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jarvis Wooten, Felix Evans, Robert McMillan, Carl Mount, Allen Reynolds, Rodney Harris, and Ronald Jackson.
