Simmons, Suzann Rebecca – The Chattanoogan

She was a graduate of the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration. She was a member of the ETA Chapter of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority where she served as the Chapter Secretary. She was blessed with a good singing voice and enjoyed singing in choral groups. She was a member of her high school choral group and the U of A choral group. She worked at TVA until her first child was born and became a stay-at-home mother until both children were in school. She then held several part time responsible jobs so she could be at home to greet her children returning from school. She will be greatly missed by her relatives and friends.

Suzann was preceded in death by her parents, John K. and Elsie Catherine Kilgore Hooker, Sr. and her brother, John K. Hooker, Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, James E. Simmons, two children, Cynthia Paige Simmons (Jim) Snyder and Scott Edward (Sabine) Simmons, three grandchildren, Zachary Spruce Simmons, Kai Simmons and Elsa Ruth Simmons.
