George Skidmore
George “Buddy” Skidmore, 69, of Chickamauga passed away on July 30, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Silvia Ann Skidmore and M.H. and Lora Butler; a brother, Jeffrey Butler; and sisters, Maggie Butler, and Martha Nave.
Buddy is survived by his brothers, David Skidmore, Jim (Sheila) Skidmore, Allen Butler and Tony (Teddy) Luna; a sister-in-law, Ronnie Ann Butler, several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 2, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastor Chris Butler officiating.
Interment will be in Coulter Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Stephen Durham, Dakota Butler, Jim Skidmore, Jerry Skidmore, Adam Jefferies, and Hunter Jefferies.
Honorary pallbearers are Michael Tucker, Mason Edgeman, Chatman Jennings, and Alec Caylor.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, Aug. 1, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
