The Salvation Army’s women’s auxiliary and volunteers gathered on Friday to create floral arrangements for the Flowers of Hope program.
Each month the women meet to build beautiful floral arrangements, write notes of encouragement and deliver the flowers to those who need uplifting in the community. Trader Joes, Food City and The Fresh Market donated flowers for April’s program, and the arrangements will be delivered to the Soddy Daisy Healthcare Center, Dominion Senior Living of Hixson and shut-in seniors.
From now until October, one Friday of each month, the women’s auxiliary will meet to make the floral arrangements and deliver them to those in need.
The Salvation Army relies on local businesses to donate flowers to the program and welcomes volunteers to assist with arrangement making. For more information on how you can assist the Salvation Army in doing the most good, please visit https://www.csarmy.org/
