The Tennessee Highway Patrol is seeking help in finding the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident in Monroe County early Saturday afternoon.
The incident happened at 12:39 p.m. on Highway 39 in Tellico Plains.
The vehicle that fled left behind a wooden trailer at the scene of the crash.
The THP said, “We need the public’s assistance locating the driver & vehicle from a fatal hit-&-run crash on Mecca Pike in Monroe Co. today.
The vehicle could be a dark or maroon-colored flatbed truck that was pulling a 12ft homemade trailer with wooden planks. Have info? Call 865-544-3380.”
