Noel Thomas Turner, Sr.
Noel Thomas Turner, Sr., 89, of Red Bank, Tennessee passed away on June 24, 2023.
Noel was a loving and devoted Christian husband, father and grandfather. He was a longtime member of the Alpine Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Church Treasurer. He was also a 50-year member of the Red Bank Masonic Lodge No. 717 F&AM, and he owned and operated White Oak Motors. Noel was an avid supporter of the UTC Mocs and a diehard Atlanta Braves Fan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Susie Jane Turner; his parents, Emmett Turner and Sadie Ruth Winters; a brother, Joel Turner and two sisters, Barbra Anne McMullin and Bettye G. Thomas and a son-in-law, Johnny Shetter.
He is survived by his son, Noel Turner, Jr. (Jill); daughters, Jennifer Jennings (Mark), Janie Shetter and Julie Turner; a brother, Robert “Butch” Turner; grandchildren, Ashley Shetter, Jonathan Shetter (Valerie Duke), Tommy Turner (Hannah Carter) and Mary Ledford along with four great-grandchildren, Sonny, Miles, Sofia and Margot, special friend, Patti Wilson and several nieces nephews and extended family.
Visitation is from 12-2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27, at the Alpine Baptist Church, 4720 Stagg Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37415.
Services will follow at the church beginning at 2 p.m. with Pastor Jimmy Fowler officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
