
Tamika Vinson
Tamika LaShun Heard Vinson, 49, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, in a local health care facility.
She attended Brainerd High School and was a member of Mt. Canaan Baptist Church where she a former choir member.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Jean Landmon; grandparents, William and Leonia Landmon, Joe and Mattie Rowe.
Survivors include her sons, Marvin Davis of Chattanooga and Cameron M. Ball of Panama City Beach, FL; daughter, Crystal Clark of Chattanooga; 10 grandchildren, Jamari Davis, Jakaden Strickland, Jakai Davis, Josiah Davis, Jayce Strickland, Ra’Shayla Hymes, Jordan Hymes, Cornelius Douglas, Jr., Rodney Hymes, and Summer Hymes; father Cleophus (Rosemary) Heard; brothers, Cleophus D. (Shwanna) Heard of Chattanooga, Jarrett (Sarah) Heard of Columbus, OH, and Demetrius Edwards, Sr. of Chattanooga; sister, Allyson Heard of Ann Arbor, MI; uncles, Edward Suttles of Chattanooga, Lebron (Nadine) Gladden of Atlanta, GA, Joe (Judy) Rowe of Horseheads, NY, Melvin (Jquatte) Thomas of Opelika, AL, and Effirum Rowe of Chattanooga; aunts, Jennifer (Edsel) Brooks, Jacqueline Hughes, Shirley Queen, and Alberta Gilbert, all of Chattanooga; great-aunts, Almeta Jackson, Bertha Jo Gladden, both of Chattanooga, and Mary Lacey of Rock Island, IL; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Tamika will lie in state on Thursday, Nov. 10, from 12:30-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Friday, Nov. 11, at 10 a.m. in the chapel with Pastor Ternae Jordan, Sr. as the eulogist. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
